The Studio were so happy to be part of Joanne & Karans wedding. Their 3 day celebration was so much fun. The Studio captured every moment, and got some gorgeous colourful photos. We have an expert team that can capture beautiful Indian wedding photography.

Brides Name: Joanne Rodrigues
Grooms Name: Karan Deep

When did you get engaged?

She said:  July 2013. He surprised me with a ring at the edge of a cliff in Jersey,
Channel Islands.

He said: I took her on a surprise trip to Jersey in July 2013. One of the evenings there we went to a sea-facing cliff during the sunset and I popped the question.

When/how did you first fall in love with your significant other?

She said: I think when I realised that we were more than just friends and that I couldn’t think of anyone more important in my life than him. It was about 2 years after we first met.

He said: Unlike many couples, we didn’t just “fall into love”. Our friendship developed slowly, but steadily, transitioned over time into a state where we knew we wanted to be together forever. The “when” of that transition is blurry for me, it was just a beautiful experience.

What’s the most memorable date you’ve had?

She said: For one or my birthdays Karan took me out for a great evening in London, we saw ‘The King’s Speech’ at the West end, had dinner at an Italian restaurant and went for a long walk. It was simple and romantic.

He said: Too many! I think our very first date would be one of them. I perspire easily when eating spicy food, and there I was in front of her, sweating, even though I was sitting right under the air conditioning! She thought something was going wrong with the date. One of those things we can look back and laugh about it now.

What was the best engagement/wedding present you received?

She said: I received a framed painting of a watercolour piece that my dad painted over 30 years ago. It means a lot to me because it’s so personal.

He said: That would be a glass/gold model of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India. Besides the model being a beautiful work of art, it represents one of those rare places where I have experienced happiness and peace.

How would you describe the style of your wedding?

She said: Mixed! A bit of me and Karan and a lot of both our families. Loud, colourful and crazy.

He said: .A happy, colourful festival of organized chaos.

What was the most unique detail at your wedding ceremony/reception?

She said: Most people expected just my dad to walk me down the aisle, but I made sure both my parents were by side. I also made sure I had a live band at the reception on the 30th and the music was great. The live cooking stations at both receptions were popular among all the guests.

He said: I had organised a flash dance with the bridesmaids and groomsmen as a surprise for Joanne and everyone attending the reception. Because everyone was in different countries, we practiced over Skype and had a quick run through 2 days before the wedding. Glad it turned out well and everyone enjoyed. Joanne loved it, and I’m happy for that!

Why did you choose the Studio?

She said: I’m not very comfortable posing in front of the camera, and because I knew everyone at the studio, I was more comfortable with it. Suze was great at getting us to pose and making sure our good angles were shot always and made us feel at ease throughout all the days.

Suze did a great job at making us and all our guests feel at ease while having photos taken of us and them.
