Brides Name :  Angela Jackson
Grooms Name: Mark Bryant

Q. When did you get engaged? 1st February 2014

She said: We had my best friend and her husband staying with us, it was their last night and we all wanted to go to the Burj Khalifa for dinner. So we booked in at Atmosphere. We sat down, placed our orders in the restaurant and then Mark suddenly insisted on us going into the bar area to have a photo taken, which I thought was very odd at the time, and he was acting odd too! Anyway we went in, and he took me over to the window with the view of Dubai below and asked the question! My friends witnessed it all and everyone clapped & cheered.

He said: 1st February 2014 at the Burj Khalifa.

Q. How did you first meet?

She said: We met at Yalumba brunch on the 22nd June 2012. It was a mutual friends leaving brunch, Ella, who was moving to South Africa. I really didn’t want to go as I only knew Ella! Anyway I went along and it was there that I met Mark! We got chatting, he drew me a map of Australia on a napkin with chocolate sauce to show me where he hailed from and then he bit me and left! A few days later I got the best email ever on Facebook from him, apologizing for biting me and asking me out to apologise in person!

He said: I got chatting to Angela during a Yalumba brunch and decided to impress her by biting her! After the brunch everyone dispersed and I realised I had no idea who this girl was or what her name was so for weeks she was referred to as “the hot bird in green shorts”. After making some enquiries I managed to find her name and then stalked her on Facebook to make contact and ask her out for a drink to apologise for biting her! The rest is history!

Q. When/how did you first fall in love with your significant other?

She said: When we were in Spinneys buying some shopping and Mark added the shopping of an Indian workman to ours, and paid for the man’s shopping along with ours.

He said: I think I probably fell for Angela during our first holiday together in Sri Lanka. We spent so much time together and just had so much fun. It was such a chilled out, laid back, fun holiday full of stories and memories.

Q. What’s the most memorable date you’ve had?

She said: Probably our first date as it was so crazy and eventful! Mark had planned on us going to The Agency but it was a Wednesday night and they had a wine offer on so it was too busy for us to even get in. So the plan was to go to Bar Zar for a drink then go on for dinner somewhere. That never happened! We ended up doing shots in Bar Zar and playing silly games like daring each other to go into the kitchen there and see how long we could stay in there without being kicked out! Total madness!

He said: Our holiday in Sri Lanka was like our “first date” as it was the first time we spent uninterrupted time together and we did lots of fun stuff together getting to know each other.

Q. What quality do you most admire about the other person?

She said: I love how Mark is so cheeky and just gets away with it! You can put him in a room with the sternest people & he will make friends with everyone and have everyone laughing before the day is out. Whatever you do with Mark is fun and we spend a lot of time laughing! He is also a true gentleman and has amazing morals and values.

He said: Angela is a very giving person and very caring at heart. She is also very grateful/appreciative for everything in her life, which is another lovely quality.

Q. What was the best engagement/wedding present you received?

She said: We didn’t really ask for gifts but a friend bought us a lovely heart shaped sign that says “And they lived happily ever after” on it that we used on our wedding day for pictures!

He said: We got a vintage bottle of Dom Perignon from my best man and his wife which was pretty cool.

Q. How would you describe the style of your wedding?

She said: Sparkly! The theme was glitter/sparkle. But other than that it was about having everyone we love dearly in the same place for the first time ever!
He said: Elegantly personal.

Q. What was the most fun detail of your wedding to plan?

She said: Designing my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses.
He said: Picking the music/play list.

Q. What was the most difficult detail of your wedding to agree upon?

She said: Budgets!
He said: Guest list – I wanted to invite everyone I knew and Angela was trying to keep it to a budget!

Q. What do you look most forward to: the wedding day, the wedding night or the honeymoon?

She said: Wedding Day!
He said: Wedding Day.

Q. What was the most unique detail at your wedding ceremony/reception?

She said: Our cake topper – it was a handmade rat and a bird representing our nicknames for each other.
He said: The wedding wishing tree that Angela made for us.

Q. What moment of your wedding day were you most nervous about?

She said: The first dance.
He said: Saying my vows.

Q. How do you feel now that the wedding is over?

She said:  Sad as it went so quickly but also relieved from the stress and work involved in getting it all pulled together.
He said: Happy and married – committed.

Q. What are your honeymoon plans?

She said:  South Africa, I want to do a safari and Mark is keen on cage diving with sharks and wine tasting.

Q. Why did you choose the Studio?

They said: We looked at a lot of trailers and samples from different people but we both preferred the overall style of The Studio, they seem to bring everything together in a lovely, stylised way. Also, The Studio were extremely professional and responded to emails & phone calls immediately, were very professional & experienced, understood instructions and basically did what they said they would without stress or bother.
